This was a heart filled poem and I was taken in by it. You gave a message so simplicit yet so meaningful if one can get the message written in between the lines. The flow was perfect all throughout the poem as was the structure in which you used to write this piece. Also the imagery you use in this poem is incredible. How you describe things is fantastic and I haven't things so well described in a poem for some time. Great job and keep writing.

Sometimes words are pale in comparison to the object of our desire, that is a fact of life and the poet's greatest challenge to face:)

    Well written, Nick.

On that writhing, hot, dusty street
As spicy as the flavours that permeate the air
    Of herbs, lily and lilac
    Rotting flesh, dung and decay

    ^^
such vivid imagery, so love your wording in this poem, very intense.

Through you eyes India is alive and vibrant in it's busy streets. I have read and studied India in class. I know there is much sorrow there but so much heart and sweet souls of wonderful people.
I enjoyed this very very much

Funny, I remember when you wrote this poem for a contest a long time ago (and I do believe you won first in the round this poem was entered into). It didn't touch me so much then as it does now that I've been in a relationship with an Indian for quite some time. You paint a beautiful picture, and exactly what I imagine the country to be. Have you been there? I assume you have.

Ohhh...lovely piece! I have had glimpses of India in TV shows. The dusty busy streets are like our own streets here. I've watched Indian movies too, and there is a lot to see in that country.
