Politely comply

by Samie   Nov 19, 2010

Staring across the ocean,
she wonders if she talks loud enough will he hear her,
if she imagines hard enough will she appear beside him,
For standing against the biggest ocean,
the Atlantic,
she feels so helpless, and alone.
Even the wind is against her,
a gust of wind tries to blow her in the opposite direction,
only one thing can change her path she struggles against,
and thats the person for who this is all for.
She just follows her heart to get to him,
which is always a challenge,
her bravery will take her through the murkiest water,
in the deepest part of the Atlantic,
if that is what it comes down to in the end.
She always imagines a ship sailing across the ocean,
bringing him closer to her with every second that ticks by.
Each wave is a challenge for him,
calling him on,
dare him to cross the rest of the body of water in hopes to finally hold her hand.
As the sun sets at the end of their days,
and the moon appears,
they always end up looking at the same stars,
even in different time zones.
Although one day they will be watching the same birds fly over their heads,
watching the same sun set, at the same time,
and look across the ocean, that at one point separated them.
No longer will the world seem so ruthless.
if they can take on the Atlantic ocean as one,
then the will know that as long as they are together,
the world will politely comply.
