My Pearl

by Kalee nichole   Nov 22, 2010

Mother Nature has made a beautiful disaster,
from a grain of sand became a gem....more beautiful than any could have asked for.
It was hard work of the becoming which remained unseen to "all".
But in time you will find the hard work paying off.
Woman of the sea...tucked away in your shell of darkness
needs to be set free.
In all of the vast ocean, none are half as beautiful nor half as sad as that of a pearl,
hidden from the light, magnificently hidden from the world.
And I.....a water bearing tranced girl:
along the beach I have roamed, amongst the "treasures" of shells, glass, coral, and of stones;
knowing full well that you walked beside me, you were the real treasure all along
the pearl who searches her home.
Pearls are the fallen stars of the ocean
who sit beautifully at the bottom just following the motion.
You have become worn,
battered by the waves of broken promises sworn.
We must give you light
polish you off and end this fight.
You are the little dot I have, what some call the glitter in one's eye,
The pearl sitting in the darkness that everyone can see
when I look at you, you can see yourself inside.
