Temps, I am simply, as always, amazed by your work and this piece is no different. It would be interesting though if one could change the way things are, and be able to do things from a different point of view as you have said. The emotions of pain and sadness are evident from your first lines and throughout the first stanza. I love the images you have visualized with your words in our heads. Also the word choice in which you wrote this once again shows me the uniqueness of your writing and also the creativity.

    "but what if ...

    sweet love died forevermore
as if roles were reversed -"

Un-doubtingly my favorite part in this short poem. It throws off a spin from which most poem would have sticked to and spreads off into its own unique twist and plot. Anyway I like the idea of switching parts as it were, as it creates a whole different click of emotions, ranging from vengeance to hate in a sort of way. Anyway, before I babble forever, this poem was truly fantastic and I was glued to this poem from the very beginning till the end. Great job and keep writing.
