I Will Always Love You

by Ashley   Jun 19, 2004

It was just an ordinary type of day
When I first met you on that boring day in May.
I was captivated by your odd sense of humor.
Love just wasn't my thing at the time, but it happened no sooner.
Love hit me like a brick wall.
And you struck my heart like a bolt of lighthing does the sky.
Love no more seemed like one monstrous lie.
When I saw your gorgeous smile,
And your beautiful chocolate brown skin,
You then made me realize that love wasn't a misconception.
Some even say it's a way, a road, a path leading to a certain direction.
Lust wasn't going to be between the two of us.
Only pure tranquility and blissful love.
Vibrantly shining like a shooting star beaming through the heavens.
Ecstasy will overcome our bodies each and everyday.
Yearning for each other in desire just as a flower needs April showers.
Our souls will continue to share the same desire.
Until the day we can be together, I will continue to keep lit this bright burning fire.
