A stronger love

I write this note to you
with pure honesty from deep inside,
so i hope you pay close attention
as i uncover what i feel inside.
I want you to know
that i think of you night and day,
and i couldn't hold back any longer
the words Ive longed to say.
Id like to begin by saying
that the time has come to make that move,
no more games or excuses
we have nothing left to prove.
We have both done foolish things
and said things we will always regret,
we have caused one another agonizing pain
through a love too strong to forget.
But through it all we are still in love
our love stood strong through all the pain,
it held on tight when we gave up
it carried us out despite the rain.
We must face all the anger and resentment
its time to heal and leave it all behind,
we can make things right
if we just put in the time.
