Nature Shudders

by Mac McGovern   Dec 17, 2010

As the sun sets
and
the moon rises,
twilight awakens the night.

The moon shows clear
the stretch of the deer,
the wolf on the prowl,
the hoot of the owl,
mice scurrying in the field,
insects swarming above the lake,
fish leaping feed in moon light glow
in nature,
death provides life.

In the forest nature plays its
deadly role,
while,
not far away,
in the streets....

as the sun sets
and
the moon rises,
twilight awakens the night...

Man preys upon man,
greed, hate, gruesome satisfaction
show clear in moon light glow,
with man,
death destroys life.

Nature shudders at the sight.
