Sean you mix dark, with sweet, with funny, with romantic, with clear with everything that comes to a poetss mind..and that makes it really special to read your work..

change it's to its here :

    "Met it's poisons"

    however this :

Like the flowing river; we share it's fate,
we are all, what other people make.

"This river reeks of shameful impurities -
    stretching; contorting snake strangles land.
The drinkers suffering by the watery hand,
once, these waters gave great gratuity."

^^^ Wow! I'm not really sure where to start. I enjoyed the vocabulary. You chose all the right words in all the right places. The rhyming you added in, not awkward at all. Also " contorting snake strangles land." I really liked that.

"Born from the mountains so fresh,
it's strong flowing blue; so proud it'd stand.
Met its poisons, a touch of human hand,
once, these waters knew not cruelty."

^^^ I must say, this stanza is my favorite. The words you chose are amazing, they read very well, and flow nicely too.

"Like the flowing river; we share it's fate,
we are all, what other people make."

^^^I like the rhyming, it made me smile.

I feel like this poem paints an image in my mind, with a golden paint brush. You did a wonderful job, Sean. Keep up the amazing work.
    Keep writing,

Wow Sean I love this poem!! I love how you expressed the "emotions" of this flowing river and my favorite part was the last two lines... So beautiful and true!!!

"Like the flowing river; we share it's fate,
we are all, what other people make."

It made me proud to be part of this group :)
