I Want It Back

by Kayla   Feb 15, 2011

I've never asked for more than I was willing to give.
You've never done a thing I wasn't willing to forgive.
But when it comes to me, I do nothing right.
Every word I say turns into another fight.
The nights of endless tears,
All the wasted years,
Don't mean a damn thing now.
I let you have your fun,
But baby, I'm not done.
Heartbreak hurts, and I'm gonna show you how.
I want it back.
Baby, I want everything I gave.
I want the laughs, the jokes,
Each word I spoke.
The midnight talks,
My hand as we walked.
I want it back.
Baby, you're not leaving with a thing.
Memories we shared,
The way I used to care.
Every goodbye kiss,
Every lame playlist.
I'm takin' them back.
But there is one thing you can have.
It's just no use to me.
Give it to your next fling,
Here's your virginity (;

**This is my first piece of writing in years, try not to judge it too harshly. **
