Farewell to LL

by Daisy   Mar 1, 2011

Its hard to write a farewell card
To a friend that is present in my heart
I dont know how to begin
But something tells me I have already commenced.

Well, I want my friend to know
That I love her, very much so.
You have been so good to me
I dont know what Ill do now that you leave

Wait a minute. I do know, for you have showed me:

Before dawn you rise, around 6 to be exact
You go about your shores:
Milking goats; but hey! They are no more.
Brawn and discipline they granted her
Through the hard work she performed.

But why did they leave?
To give way to something more supreme.
Now, until dusk she works
Teaching others, that is for sure!

To explore a virgin territory she has ventured,
Carrying with her the tools that make for redemption.
Zeal, Love, and Sympathy accompany her heart.
Courage and perseverance on her shoulders make who you are.

Your deeds and acts you have laid my way
And they are for me to take.
Thank you so much for showing me a model of who I can be
With your example, you have set this child free.
