Parched Soul

by that Dude   Mar 2, 2011

Your words
Bleed my soul dry

Weeping crying bleeding dying
My soul dry

Caring waiting anticipating
Your world your life
my soul dry

Crying dying
Looking for you
Where
My soul dry

Loving you
My soul aching
Waiting
My soul dry

Parched soul
Hunger
for love
My soul dry

Your words
False hope
Bleed
my soul dry

Weeping crying bleeding dying
My soul dry

Caring waiting anticipating
Your world your life
my soul
Is dry

This poet writes with a tender and transparent parched heart in this poem, most likely put down (like this comment) over time with anguish, generosity, and risk.

Others he writes reflect anger and disdain, possibly composed hot and quick?

I wonder which ones reflect the author's true heart a day, week, or year later? Which might mark this poet's honest voice in the future?

The passion and heartache come through in all, but the reader hears a slammed steel door in some and an open cry in others. I wonder which the poet wants to communicate, a transparent or cut-off story...to himself, others...

This transparency could help another heal, if the author continues to write.
