Teardrops Formed Her

by Jeff Weiner   Mar 26, 2011

Teardrops Formed Her

She started as a lonely puddle
Blossoming through the years,
A river forming life
gaining strength from the tears,

Growing before our eyes
staying soft but strong,
Glowing in her wake
as whales sing her song,

Some say man has poisoned her
trying to control it all,
Spilling oil and waste
not heeding natures call,

Fighting to replenish
the treasures we desire,
If we fail to respect her
She will reduce to a lake of fire,

The ocean was a gift
granted from above,
When the Lord created earth
he gave her to us with Love
