A Sinful Dance

by kiara   Apr 1, 2011

On the floor our eyes first met
A passionate feeling at first glance
As you moved forward and asked for a dance
Saying yes you took my hand
That is where the sin began

Our bodies moved in unison
Enticing a dangerous flame
And we entered sin's treacherous game
The beat grew stronger and our hearts caught on
As we kept inviting this sinful bond

Fervent and fiery our bodies melted
Skin against skin, a yearning temptation
Your hand on my waist, a lustful sensation
Electrical pulses searing our skin
Now we have fallen deeper into sin

A dark passion we unfurled
Entangled in lusts demise
And my desire burned in your eyes
The beat turned slow, the end was near
A kiss on my lips, I trembled and feared

I have fallen again and sin had won
Your arms now gone that gnawing ache
Of knowing i fell for that pitiful mistake
Of reopening my heart and leaving it in your hands
Hoping you would see the scars and understand

But sin's nature is evil at best
My heart you took again and left
Leaving me completely bereft
When our eyes first met I should've known
That it would end with me alone

I allowed this sinful dance to take its course
And now I feel sin's final blow
Just standing still as I watch you go
My heart again is freshly torn
And my love for your forever scorned
