In An Us

by chris   Apr 7, 2011

I refuse to give up on what I love,
I can honestly say that I don't know why I even love us.

What I do love, is what we could share,
Minus him, and everything could be better then before, lets compare.

Lets see how me and you could really be,
Lets stop with the lies, and prove to me your honesty.

I know that the stories I hear are true, and yet you still denyin' em,
It all makes sense to me when I begin to compile em,

You're just like a dream, I don't know how it started,
and I sure don't know why we startin' to get so separated and departed,

Quit the pretending of who you really are,
Unmask yourself, and let me help heal you and your broken heart,

I know you're afraid of the pain, you told me love shouldn't hurt,
But we all go through it so don't put me through the worst,

If you ain't afraid to live then don't be afraid to love,
Now tell me, is it a shame that I still believe in an us?
