I see anger, love, and a lost soul comfortable in the thought of knowing the earth will protect us.

First off, I am sorry I haven't commented on your poetry in like forever. I had a long writers block and was trying to get through it. Second, I am glad to see you have not lost your touch at all. This piece however is different from what I am used to reading but I am glad to see you looking at things from a brighter side and also stepping out of your comfort zone in which people like to write. Anyway, your poem was really refreshing and goes right along with the changing of the season right now. The imagery was really good and the poem flowed from stanza to stanza.

"Still, more showers pouring with insanity
cruelly hauling me into the petals flirting
at the gates of April; mad for Spring."

This was my favorite stanza and it really gave me great visualizes as I could almost see a flower wanting to open up but hesitant of the cold but crazy for the promise of coming warmth. You were very descriptive in these lines and it really adds to your poem. I also like how you use the times of the year and the months as actually beings in this poem. Very creative.

All in all, you have done a wonderful job with this poem and though it is not as strong as some of your others I was still not disappointed. Your words carried emotions of sadness, love, wanting, and even impatience and your words brought this poem to life and painted a picture for me to read. Great job and keep writing.

What do you comment when there is so much to say, but you've been pushed into a sense of speechlessness?

I truly don't know what to say here. This piece is beautiful, and it has so many different facets of life, truth, love, wisdom, sadness, anger, hurt, pain, beauty. My gosh this is an emotional rollercoaster of a piece for me, without a doubt.

Such strong imagery painted with the petals flirting at the gates of April - I LOVE that line, and wow wow wow what a strong idea. I love the bit about the world foreseeing harsher frosts as well, this could definitely be taken more than one(or two) ways, but to take it at face value brings a beautiful picture. To take it as a metaphor it brings me such sadness to know and hear of the destruction consistently happening.

This is a very deep piece, Nana. Gorgeous!
