Last and Final

by Ashley Lewellin   Jun 9, 2011

She sits there counting the days
As they pass...

37 calls, 15 text and 13 voicemails
Later, still no respond...

3 weeks pass and she still wounders
What went wrong...

She barely eats and rarely gets
Any sleep...

Her body aches while she lies awake...

Now 2 months later her heart still
Shakes...

Her mind full of confusion as she lays
There awake...

Her phone rings late one night a soft
Voice simply says,"I'm Sorry."

As tears fill her eyes she hangs up...

And that was her last and final
Goodbye!
