Regrets

Why do people say never regret,
Saying it without doubt,
but to never forget.

Your right that night will never restore what we once had so quick,
What we had was magic,
but the memory of that night makes me feel sick.

It was only a mistake, a simple kiss of remorse,
he wasn't even straight,
and it wasn't what you call forced.

Please can we light the spark that we once possessed,
I want to forget,
put back the pieces that have all been messed.

Lets kiss and smile and move on to better things,
planning our life,
with a house, a child and maybe even a wedding ring.

because at 17, our hormones still travel pretty fast.

Lets forgive and forget about the abjection,
and not drive down the road of hurt and rejection.
