When?

by ThreeSixtyChanges   Jun 14, 2011

Every time I look at you in the eyes.
You look away, as if I wasn't there,
Every time I look at you in the eyes.
You never do look back.

You always put your sight somewhere else,
Somewhere unknown,
Somewhere mysterious,
Somewhere unreachable,
As if you were afraid of something,
As if you were uneasy of your surroundings.

But still,
I always look at you in the eyes,
Hoping endlessly,
Watching silently,
Waiting patiently,
That you'll look back at me,
Straight back into my eyes.

When,
When will you look back?
I can't read your thoughts,
I can't read your mind,
But I want to try to read those mysterious eyes of yours,
I want to feel the sensation,
The sensation when you gaze straight through me,
Straight into this heart of mine.

I want you to see me, the way I see you.
I want you to feel me, the way that I feel you.
I want you to somehow understand what these gazes of mine mean.
Even though they mean so little in your eyes,
It means everything to me.
I just want you to realize,
Realize how important you are to me.

I ask to myself,
Why won't you gaze back at me?
I ask to myself,
Why won't you see me the way that I see you?

Was it only me that was mesmerized by your pair of eyes?
Those beautifully gorgeous, but mysterious pair of eyes.
Was it only me that felt this way?
Was it only me that could understand?

But,
I'll be patient,
I'll be very patient,
I'll be patiently waiting,
For the time you look back at me,
For the moment where our eyes meet,
For the moment that you feel what I feel,
For the moment when you realize how important you are to me.

But... The question is,
When?
