Illusions of the truth

by Justwolfy   Jun 16, 2011

Darkness takes hold
The night looks ever so bold,
Absence of light
Eternal night
Death inches near
I don't fear.
Love breaks me in two
I wish I could say, it's all because of you.
But that would be a delusion of truth.
Yet I see nothing but the illusion of my youth.
I try and I try
Another day, another piece of me will die
I wish, I want...I wait,
Another missed call, another missed date
Like water in the desert sands
I dehydrate while missing the feeling of holding your hand.
I hug the air in absence of you
Everyday I wonder if you knew
Awaiting your kiss, your touch, your smile,
Feels like anticipation an end of a trail.
The verdict reads, Guilty as pleads
My heart sinks to the bottom of my chest
Leaving an empty void, and another untaken test.
Failing at being your number one you are second to none.
Ready to let the walls down and give it anew.
Wondering if I'm worth it to you
Everyday I hear you want it too.
I think, I anticipate, I continue to wait.
Waiting for the day to shine through.
Rolling through darkness and it's all because...
Because of you.
Your worth the tears, the objections and fear.
You're more than one can bare,
Yet I can't help but stare.
Staring into your eyes is like seeing a miracle unfold.
Like a fairytale waiting to be told.
Ever after is what I see.
Hopefully one day it can be with you and with me.
Illusions, delusions, confusions of truth.
This is all a new chapter, a chapter of youth.
