A Hidden Truth.

by Thepainwithinme   Jun 26, 2011

I see a smile behind your eyes,
I see the truth between the lines.
I search for something you try to hide.
I know I may not like what I find.
You are a mystery, a hidden truth.
So let's dig deep, down to your roots.
I can see it inside you, something unknown,
Deep inside, something has grown.
A light in your eyes tells me it's true,
Something is different, and new about you.
I hope for the best, and expect the worst.
You're screaming for blood, an angry thirst.
You're nothing like I thought you could be,
Someone I thought would never hurt me.
But I'm barely holding on, it's time to give up,
It's time to move on and forget this love.

A poem with a nice easy flow, the rhyme was good and the concept of your poem cliche but you made it work Excellent job
