Never Another You

by John   Jun 21, 2004

You touched my life when I had lost hope
This is all there was, at the end of my rope
Of getting by each day feeling all alone
'Til you came along and lifted that stone
Never another you

You're the ray of light in my darkened room
Like a moth to a flame I am consumed
By your love, your kiss and your caress
Your friendship and that green print dress
Never another you

Every time you're near I'm swept away
Never in my dreams did I feel this way
No fighting this feeling, I'm sinking down
Within your love, happy to drown
Never another you

I lay there while you were asleep
Looking at you and kissing your cheek
Holding you close and thanking God
For this blessed feeling of being loved
Never another you

There's no one else with whom I wish to see
take my hand and our live's journey see
And if a thousand years my life matured
It can't be denied, I know for sure
Never another you
