Just Listen

by Empress Jai   Jul 14, 2011

Just listen cuz I want you to hear me when I say this...
Too often I find myself talking to you
And my words, my feelings I dismiss
As if they aren't important
As if they don't exist.
And I know they aren't hard to grasp cuz I wear my heart on my sleeve
A habit of mine I have to quit
A trait in me that is so naive
But what I am saying you have to believe
I am not here to deceive
All I am after is your attention
And to ease this tension
we have between us
Not to mention this insatiable lust
Cuz when I am near you, to touch to kiss you is a must
But I've gotten off topic so let me readjust
Cuz for me to stand up here in front of all these people and say what I want to do to you is a bust
A lady in the streets, always, that's me, trust.
So don't speak just yet
Go ahead and process what I am saying
And know that I am for real about this
Know that I am not playing
Pay attention to the message that I am conveying
And know that I am not straying
Or backpedaling at all, nope not swaying
Cuz my last, is no longer real to me
He might as well be fiction
He might take offense to that
Could cause a lil friction
But that chapter is closed, the last sentence already written
That story is one that I wont be missin
Nor will I be revisitin
Cuz with you right now Im happy
And to remain as such is my mission
And to do that I want you to pay attention
All I need you to do is just listen.
