Behind the Curtain

by Renegade Angel   Aug 13, 2011

I shiver and shake as you near.

You hold my chin with tender eyes, and close the distance between us.

I can only intertwine my fingers through the endless ebony tendrils.

My thoughts think of how you are like my siren song. Intoxicating and alluring.

Your touch is like seductive witchcraft.

Your hood eyes shield the blood lust that deep inside you cry for. Your eyes call my name.

We are no good for each other, but you are the addicting song that maintains me.

These lines constitute the entire poem. Quite a creative collage of imagination in words.

I think that this poem flows really well even if it does not seem that way when looking at it. I like your detailed description because it portrays a very vivid image, and I just love being able to imagine things. The emotions are really powerful and definately captivating and the conclusion summed it all up. Well done. :)
