I think this is a lovely write.

At first when I started to read the poem I felt as if it was about a man who was breaking up with his gf even though they cared about each other, they were not right for each other

As I read on I knew my initial thoughts were wrong. It is like they loved each other so deeply and were perfect for each other but for some unforseen circumstance, they could not be together
