We were so close being together,
but the day i 1st saw you i ignore you like you want even there.
somehow we got in touch and talk for almost 3 years,
it sucks to know your in active duty, wishing you were here.
telling me how I'm the reason why you was so eager to get back home safe,
knowing that everything will fall in place.
the first time we met up was at Walmart parking lot,
we were both in our cars hoping the rain would stop.
i look at you, you look me with smiles on our faces,
i was speechless that i could hear my heart race.
2nd night you took me around the island,
it was romantic the way you hold my hand.
3rd night you took me on a date,
movies, dinner, romantic look out nothing more i can say.
4th night you took me shopping n walk Waikiki strip,
b4 the end of the night you told me how much you love my soft lip.
last night you hold me in your arms over looking the view of the city,
the stars and moon that night was so pretty.
you whisper in my ears "i wish it could stay like this forever",
i told him forever is along time he whisper back "never!'.
he cried not knowing when will see each other again,
i told him for now all i can be is a friend.
i never seen a grown man cry over me like this before,
but i could not give him the love he needs and more.
I'll never forget his smile, his love, and everything hes done for me,
but i know I've did the right thing by setting him free.
