What I Really Meant

Being with you, I gave up everything
My friends, my family, my life
I became your prisoner, your slave
You controlled me

And yet, I stayed
Because I loved you
And I had this crazy idea
That you loved me too

But, in reality
I was just a toy to you
And now I finally see
That's all I was meant to be

    Love this Poem. I can relate to it, pushing away everybody just for the one you love & then coming to realize it wasnt all that you thought it was.

    And yet, I stayed
    Because I loved you
    And I had this crazy idea
    That you loved me too

    This stanza..says it all. Even though you pushed away everybody, you thought he was worth it, you thought he was your world. I know exactly how this feels. It flowed really good & you can feel how much you loved him & how much it hurt to find out it wasn't what you thought you had.
