Someday I will get back my smile.

Sitting by the side of your memories,
I think of the times when we were together,
When spring, although chilly and cold, smelled fragrant,
summers although short were cheerful and alive.
Those were the times when my being could smile.

Now, even fall colors seem cheerless.
these days I merely notice them when somebody points out at them.
Morning rush of going to work is no longer a rush but a drag.
for even coffee these days fails to give me that sleep breaking smack.
happiness, yeah, sure, I used to know how to smile.

Speaking to your image in my mind reminds me of the instances when I took your presence for granted.
Aware of your absence, in evenings, I still ask you for tea but these days I dont get to hear any response.
Nobody eagerly awaits dinner to be cooked anymore.
Thinking of our olden days I do smile for a while.

I rebel everyday against myself in my mind,
so much so that my wisdom may anyday now, split ways from intelligence.
I console my fallen tears and broken pieces of courage,
saying worry not my warrior,
Soon would come a day, when both U and I would smile again.
