You Have Become My Dream

We started in the morning as friends
Wishing each other a great day
A bond was forming
To strong to chase away

We moved to night time
Talking about everything it seems
Before we each headed to bed
Last words said sweet dreams

As we became closer
Sharing more and more
You now are the first thing
I want to see and I look for

I know you know your special
I have told you you make my smile beam
What you don't know yet is
You have become my dream

As I lay down after we talk
and say my prayers to God above
That He keeps you safe and sound
Because your my desired love

We both have many things to sort
And obstacles to climb over some
Still I don't when I should tell you
My dream you have become

It is funny now as when we met
I told you I feared only God's wrath
Now I am afraid you will not be ready
To hear I want us forever on the same path

I have to believe that you already know
From between the lines of things I wrote
But I am not sure yet how you feel
For your love you alone have the casting vote

So for now I guess I will just do
I will tell you sweet dreams and good night
Quietly knowing that you make my dreams
Shine like a star and reflect so bright

As I lay my head down
Right before I fall asleep
