Ode to;the daughter of the soil

by The Po whet   Oct 8, 2011

The trees sway gently in serenity
whistling as the wind passes by.
they choose to weep not
for their great loss;
of a gurdian angel
who voiced their tribulations to all,
who ensured their generations continue to eternity.
the one they knew by name
the one they adored.
oh! daughter of the soil
the trees mourns your loss
but they also salute you,
their champion and companion.
let the marks you left inspire many globally
and let all aspire to carry on the golden
baton you have left behind.

Your legacy lives on
you have departed in flesh
but in spirit you are with us.
Rest in eternal peace;
