Need

As I sit here alone
each silent, dreary second is an eternity,
searching my soul for a cure
for which my longing heart might have an affinity.

I feel completely separate
from many needs, wants, desires and all feelings of love.
From wince comes a fulfilling help?
It must first and foremost come from my Father above!

The need for human romance
can only be fulfilled by one individual
whose purist heart is made for yours
which has naught to do with being intellectual!

Emotion the obvious key
that unlocks the lone heart to release its burning flame
A longing to share with one
who will care for your heart, your feelings and love the same.

We all have that longing, that desire
but do all of us ever find that release?
the one that answers all the need
and brings wonderful, perfect peace?

It could be only once in a lifetime,
and then it could be twice or more.
How often can one capture
that awesome feeling of "adore"?

To let them hold the key,
the secret of your heart
and never doubt their loyalty
or guess about the other's part!

As for me, this moment
the loneliness too great
and I feel it is hopeless
I do wonder about my fate.

With sinking heart ablaze
and wishes all so void
I guess there will never be a day
that I will be adored!

That is my human longing,
the story of my fate
so I sit here very lonely
as I wait, and wait, and wait!
