Life's Book

I did not write the book of life but I’d like to feel,
I contributed a page or more, both honest and real.

When it is read I hope my page or two,
Is enjoyed by most, especially you!

For in my life there was only one real love,
You my Princess and I thank heaven above.

There are moments when these pages show thoughts of you,
how much you impressed me, without really trying too.

I see your smile, the brightness in those pretty eyes,
How much I miss in life is what you made me realize.

Not able to watch your every gesture or to hear your voice,
Kind of hurts inside but did I have any other choice?

Life can be so cruel when feelings are very much involved,
Life can be unfair when emotions are left unresolved.
