Rescued

by Misfit Silentts   Oct 19, 2011

Sinking.
Farther and farther away.
Falling.
Darkness in my vision.
What's this?
A hand?
Grasping mine
and pulling me up?
Cold.
So cold.
But not now.
Arms wrap around me,
holding me close.
Warm.
So arm.
I feel so safe.
For the first time
in a long time.
Who do I thank?
I open my eyes
and see
yours
staring
into mine.
You.
The one I've loved
for so long,
here
to rescue me.
You smile
and I feel
my heart miss a beat.
You brush my hair
away from my face,
then I close my eyes
once more.
But this time
there is no fear.
No.
Just bliss
as your lips
touch mine.
