If Only You Knew

by Misfit Silentts   Oct 19, 2011

If only you knew
the sense of security
and belonging
I felt
when you wrapped your arms
around me
and held me close.
If only you knew
how much
I care for you
and that I would do
anything
to make you happy.
If only you knew
the way your smile
makes my heart
skip a beat
and the warmth
that I get
when I see it.
If only you knew
how your laugh
makes me feel
as if
there's not a care in the world
and all my problems
are gone.
If only you knew
how your eyes
cut into mine
and make me feel
as if you can see
right through me,
into my heart.
If only you knew
the chill I got
when you would move
the hair from my face
and your fingers
lightly brush my skin.
If only you knew
the way
I would forget everything
with just a touch of your lips.
If only you knew,
but maybe it's better
if you didn't.
