Cursing Disney

by Lofallenve   Oct 30, 2011

And as the clock struck midnight,
I knew from the first chime,
That I was in love with you.
But don't mistake my story,
For that of Cinderella's.
Because this story doesn't have a
Happy ending or even a happy beginning.
Because I'm not that beautiful girl,
Wearing the stunning blue dress,
Dancing in the famous glass slippers,
In the arms of the handsome prince.
I'm that girl cursing at Disney,
For making me believe ever since,
I was a young girl
The fairy tale of:
There will always be the prince there
To chase after you,
Trying to fit your foot to the shoe.
I'm that girl cursing at Disney,
For making falling in love,
Look so damn easy.
