Shangri la

Shangri la Shangri-La

My earthly Bella vista

Sparkling jewel of utopia

How many sleepless nights

Have I rendered to your thoughts

The only source strong enough

To break my resistance

Contrary to common sense

From the epic of my childhood

To this very day,

Never doubting

Forever believing

In your existence

Despite the bloodshed

Of mortal hindrance

Shangri la Shangri la

My soul's ambrosia

Messenger of peace and euphoria

Countless times, I have inhaled your fragrance

The musk of frankincense

The magic of your essence

Your intoxicating presence

Tormenting me

Haunting me

Yet you have not made

An appearance

Nor have I ever received

Any sort of invitation

A piece of validation

Even for a peek in your garden

Shangri la Shangri-La

My Silver hued lucky star

Woven with multi colored thread

Of ethnic viyella

Last night you held me in my dream

Till the first sun beam

Your strength overwhelmed me

As I saw the valleys and greenery

Through your gentle eyes

With sweet promises

Of joyful times

Festivities and siesta

Along with the blue sky

Mirrored in the blue lagoon

At the coast of Esmeralda

Shangri-La, my very own Shangri-La

Tell me it is not just a dream

Of a satirical realm

Or a fictional gleam

A glimpse of my imagination

Nor a pioneering scientific invention

For I know that you are real

The only truth that still exists

In this shameful glib of a world

Because you are the only Possessor

Of immortality in this planet

Yes, they call you LOVE

But, I call you My Shangri-La

As you can be nothing but heaven

And the most privileged makes it to, Eden
