Our Night Together

by John   Jun 24, 2004

Eight o’clock, anxious to see
Your eyes, your smile
And the fun that will be.

Nine o'clock; our date starts
A kiss, a hug,
Joy filling our hearts.

Ten o’clock, to the pond, away
With you, this place is magical
I must say.

Eleven o’clock, our cheeks are hurting
From laughing, smiling
And all our flirting.

Twelve o’clock, at you I stare
There’s no better feeling than
being with you there.

One o’clock, still having fun
Holding hands, a kiss or two
Our conversations go on.

Two o’clock, still not a care
But time moves on
So fast, unfair.

Three o’clock, how can that be so?
Just one more smoke
And then we’ll go.

Four o’clock, you’re gone, if only
we had one more hour
Then I wouldn’t feel lonely.

Five o’clock, in bed, not sleeping
Instead looking forward to
Our next meeting.
