Never Bloom Never Crest

by Bobby   Dec 2, 2011

It is said, Love conquers all
Yet often love is there
Right before the fall
We hurt and yet smile
We hope and we cry
We pray it will all be worth while
As we walk the miles, long and untrue
There is someone, somewhere
Wishing they could walk beside you
Just to show that they care
Hoping you will notice them
Wishing you would also share
They are shining like a gem
But you don't know they are there.
They are just to you a "them"
They don't have a prayer
For you really have no clue
Even as their soul they honestly bare
Eager to be with you
To help to heal and do their part
To put a smile on your face
And open up your heart
Yearning for your loving embrace
Aching for your touch
Wishing your heart would race,
Walk along your way
Take some time and look
Before that final judgement day
Whether through hook or crook
Always faithful to be there
Wishing your heart to hook
But how can you care?
When you see another
With them your heart you share
They will never love you
With a love that can compare
It takes a special heart
To love you unseen
That is the saddest part
She could even be your queen.
Keeping it for you only
Waiting by the phone
Yet ever so very lonely.
Her love to flow over you
Like raging river streams
To wash you through and through
So does she stay hidden,
Alone and afraid
never stepping out
For her love is forbidden to be displayed.
What good is love
If never expressed
It will never bloom
Or reach it loving crest.
