Pain of Losing You

by seeress mae   Dec 13, 2011

On bended knees
I pray to mend each broken piece.
Hopeless,
I stifle one last frustrated cry.
Can I never bring back the time, love, and you?

I can't demand nor give commands,
For love is not love when held in captive hands.
Hurting,
I remain here in my sanctuary,
nursing the pain of letting go.

I'll give up everything and set you free,
Give you happiness wherever you may be.
Knowing
that each time the sun rises up to shine,
I"ll still be reaching out for you.

And when the sun goes down to rest,
I will forever be filled with more regrets.
Aching
and wishing that you are still mine,
Longing for the love, time, and you.
