Strange World

by Artemisia   Dec 13, 2011

I dream of a pretty place
With a purple cat with a golden nose,
silver presents filled with clothes.
Faeries with sparkling wings,
standing on a shimmering swing

A carousel turning in the sky,
Golden beasts trying not to sigh.
Horses dancing riderless,
A star made of violets.

All within this pretty place
smiles float in empty space.
Monsters wonder what they need
while snakes long for a hint of greed.

In this dreamy place i know,
nothing is as pure as snow.
When you visit this mixed-up world
remember nothing shines like gold.
