Three Years Married Now

by Richard S   Dec 15, 2011

Three years married now.
A life effected forever.
The moon will never be viewed as once was.
Moments on the deck,
Will always have you at my side.

After three years married,
A summer breeze will turn my head upward,
Looking for soaring hawks,
Or anticipating a setting sun,
To set the night ablaze.

Early morning movies,
Cement our droopy eyed commitment.
Breakfast in bed for two will never get old.
Unlike early morning jokes,
You try hard to laugh at.

Three years married now,
And my love expands,
To include those most infused with you.
So much themselves,
And so much you.

That is what you seem to do.
So much of you,
Makes up so much of me.
All this and more,
After year number three.
