What You Want?

Red roses
would be fine
but don't bother
with flower cos
they are old tricks, she said with a smug.
What else, he asked confused.
Huh, think fast, she challenged.
He came back with a box.
A ring? she asked with a fake yawn.
Nah, he smirked with a twinkle.
Inside was an empty one.
She looked up eyes wide.
You see, he went on eyes bright and shrewd.
Can't you see?
It's filled with something special of mine.
All my heart's love for you is here dear.
It is something which can't be bought nor measured.
He smiled to himself while she got teary eyed.
You got me what I wanted, she sniffed
He hugged her and said nothing's much more better than true love, dear.
