The Fairies

by Midnight Vanity   Jan 3, 2012

The middle of the night
I look out my window
There is dancing lights
On the snow,
I look a bit closer,
There are people just like me,
I don't have to hide anymore
They pull me closer
I let my wings out
I stand on the ledge
I think about jumping and going with them
And I see my baby sister
"Where are you going sissy,"
She asks with tear filled eyes,
"I'm going home please don't cry,
I'm not like you,I'm like them"
I bekon toward the lights
I kiss her on the forehead
I let my wings open,
It's been so long I test them before I go
I jump,I go somewhere I don't have to hide what I am
The fairies welcome the lost one
They dance with joy
I think about the last time I'll ever see my sister
I go visit her one last time,
She is asleep,
One tear falls down her cheek
I'm fillled with sadness
Something tells me to leave
I take one last look
And then I'm gone
The wind carries me to where I belong
