And I'm Asking You to Remember

by Misfit Silentts   Jan 6, 2012

Do you remember
the things you used to say to me
in such a soft voice
as we layed together
in your bed,
my head
resting upon your chest
as you gently
stroked my hair?
Do you remember
how you would look at me
after I stood on my toes
to reach you
as you leaned down
to gently kiss my lips?
Do you remember
how you used to make me laugh
whenever I was down,
and I would giggle
until you kissed me
with a smile upon your face?
Do you remember
how you would pull me close
into a hug
and squeeze me
like you didn't want to let go,
and then kiss my head
and whisper
"I love you"
right before you had to go?
Do you remember
when you would hold my hand,
our fingers perfectly intertwined,
how we were inseperable
to the strongest force?

I just like how it tells the best of a relationship, while the "Do you remembers" hint at the fact its over.
