    Oh Yaki, Haha
I hated Math too, was terrible at it and still am :)
How Creative this is, though I do hope that you didn't write this during lesson :P

I loved the way this had a humourous tone, and it just made me laugh.

    It has been said,
    that one must
    never settle for less
    than one deserves..

this is indeed true, if you are a 10, dont go for a 5, people say but i have seen some cases where others dont follow this

    that one must
    strive to make
    the good..
    better
    and the better,
    best.

coming from a family that encourage me to be good in everything, i can relate to this quite well

    Still,
    I enclose no fondess
    to be the greatest ;

you can always be happy, it doesnt matter what your status, i have seen some people who are poor being more happy unlike those with riches

    I'm not hungry
    for the scores,
    nor the praises
    that will have everyone
    cursing me behind my back..

greatness indeed comes with a price, its not all people who are happy for you in life, you will always have haters

    a simple five,
    would have made me happy.

    but you're so
    hard on me,

    math.

i must say these last ones made me laugh, when i saw the 5, i was like she wants a 5 from us...

    great pieces. i give it a 5

I know your struggle with math and I thought this was brilliantly done..
but you.. oh clever little you with the saucy collarbones ;)

I love how you can take this so much farther than just through schooling, but with anyone or anything in life. Sometimes you just want to be SOMETHING, you don't have to be the best, but making some sort of an accomplishment is what brings the sunshine to your day. I thought this was well crafted, and I love your title.

(ps. I love the star on your dancefloor - great imagery!)

Has someone who dosnt put alot into selfworth, I settle for alot that I consider beneth me but that comes with the job, so I settle. This was a very beautiful poem Yak, your age belies your wisdom. The ability to humble yourself is truely beautiful, and alot of people well at least that I work with are not satisfied with what they have, I think we should be thankful for the things we do have rather than complain that we dont have enoph........
