Painting Poems of Love

by Ronnie   Jan 9, 2012

I possess no skills to stroke a canvas with a brush
So I paint my love in poetry fertile and lush
On the hill tops I bellow my affections in words
I even whisper my tender nothings to the birds

In a hope that the animals and winds will deliver
My message of passion which will cause you to quiver
With soft gentle tingles throughout your aura so bright
While you settle your heart down alone for the night

So I blanket the world with my dreams so sweet
Hoping that you will not trample them with your feet
But instead slide and glide until our spirits meet
To engage in a battle of love without retreat

Thank you very much, I'm thinking of changing that last line.

It may be a little too strong to keep with the feeling or context of the poem.

    I may soften it slightly.
