Ghosts in the night

by Harrison   Jan 12, 2012

The smell of death hung in the air
Tightening the throats of men in fear
They started at 100 and now only ten
These monster appeared just dressed as men
But how could be so , if they fought like beasts
Blades of death and men of least's
Now no man dears to raise an eye
To fight and fall lose and die
Not by the hands of these cursed souls
There empty eyes of only holes
Blood drips from within there jaws
There strength like bears and hands like claws
A noise at first before they came
So many it seemed but all the same
The cracks of thunder boomed about
Masking the screams of a soldiers shout
Then all went quite with a sudden cry
As these things stood eye to eye
Now only the brave stand alive
They left as fast as they did arrive
No body knows why these men were speared
Yet maybe they were never as they appeared
