Away From You

by Chance DeSilvah   Jan 17, 2012

Laying on my bunk
Hands behind my head
Slowly closing my eyes
Trying to hear your voice in my head.

Seeing you in my mind
The most perfect sight
Holding you close
Pulling you in tight.

Caressing your cheek
Staring into your eyes
Loving you more then ever
That's what I've come to realize.

Brushing my lips across yours
Love pouring into one another
Feeling what is true
To me, your love could never smother.

Pulling away slowly
Your image starts to fade
Frowning, I slightly regret
The choice I made.

Being so far away
From my soul, my heart
But doing this for mo chuisle
So our future has a great start.

Pulling out your photo
Your smile spread across your cheeks
Not wanting to wait
15 more weeks.

Wishing I were home
With you in bed next to me
But there's things I have to do
To keep our family free.
