Hurry Home

by Marino Vilano   Jan 19, 2012

Before I start I'd like to say, my wife and I are expecting our first child. This goes out to my child, hurry home, daddy wants to hold you.

I never thought the day would come,
Where I would say, my family has begun.
Married my high school sweetheart with no hesitation,
Two years later our baby is expected.

I use to ride alone, with nobody by my side,
Then I became a groom, and married my lovely wife.
Where there once was two, now became three,
This was a dream which became a reality.

I don't know you, and you don't know me.
But daddy loves you, I hope you love me.
Mommy has you with her right now,
And we can't wait for you to come out.

I will love you with unconditional love,
The love that will never ever stop.
I will be the best dad I can be,
And be true to you and to mommy.

I hope one day you can see,
How blessed you are in our family.
With a family of three, and nothing less,
I promise to give you my all, to give you my best.

So to my little angel wherever you are,
Please hurry home into our arms.
Dad and mom wait patiently,
To hold you in our arms, and love you unconditionally.

Waiting for a child to be born is always very exciting and..sometimes you thing the event will just never come and...then it does.

I could tell this poem came straight from your heart and, although I found your i's instead of I's distracting (please fix them) the love for your wife and unborn child really out shone these little errors. A lovely dedication...good luck!
