Butterflies In My Stomach

by nicolaaa   Jan 19, 2012

Butterflies pervade my stomach
tickling my flesh
with wings made of joy
and an innocence so fresh

the thought of you makes me nervous
it makes me queezy inside
as the butterflies flap their wings
from each side to side

and when you kiss my lips
the soft butterflies disappear
and instead, the heavy bees and wasps
slowly appear

and when you touch my delicate body
the insects start to bite
as if warning me from you
trying to prevent me from a fight

but what if I love the feeling
the feeling of a love so new and fresh
as butterflies turn to bees and pervade my stomach
tickling and biting at my flesh

it's kind of a morbid poem but it's how I feel...
