Whats love to the universe?

by Merdy   Feb 3, 2012

Collaborated poem between Derrick Merdy, Marcus Blake, Tavaughn Bowens.

In The middle of the universe

a heart wavers shattered in two.

tainted and love sick.

cut open and bleeding

with out you I'm fiending

my song, I can't sing it

the words keep leaving

It hurts. but I'm trying

my essence is dying

what of a heart rejoined

but as cold as ice it beats

no body could endure its company

so a vengeful heart it sleeps

how did my heart become stained?

From trying to take vengeance

perhaps, the corners of my conscience did it.

Imagine what is capable when your life means nothing,

and mine is an excuse for death.

Excuse are for childeren, So

what to make of me?

Dreaded places that lay dormant

stay hidden

let the corners of darkness

be the eyes we could never see

"A cold heart beacons for love"

but a cruel world takes that away.

A cold and furious nature

inherited from the hand life has dealt us.

This cruel world would never let a man reason with the one he loves,

the man understands because he cares so much.

and you'd be a fool to try and call his bluff

he only lets you into him enough

Cuz he.s tough, and

he's afraid of love

he's been hurt in the past, and

he tried to learn his lesson, but

he failed that class

Destiny was always a cruel tragedy

between pain and love

I didn't know which was worst

but i fell in love

and the pain followed

so i knew the truth, yet my mind was hollow

how I would fade like a light to a shadow

even as fickle, to weave to overcome this.

We will never relate, we are all forced to live our lives separately in our own skins

In solitude.

A great burden to me creates no ripple in the universe

as ants are no more than insects to men.

Hearts bleed, hearts die

with ripped wings unable to fly

In The middle of the universe

a heart wavers shattered in two.
